Adhesion failures in preformed tape almost always trace back to the surface: dusty, uneven, or under-primed pavement. A controlled primer application creates the tacky, uniform base coat that preformed tape adhesives are designed to grab. Skip it or do it unevenly and edges lift under traffic; do it right and the marking wears rather than peels.

How the Primer Sprayer Works

The crew fills the sprayer with the recommended primer, sets the spray line, and applies an even band ahead of the tape crew. Even coverage and controlled width mean no dry spots, no puddling, and no wasted primer just a clean, uniform base ready for the applicator to follow.
